Groups may book Adelynrood up to two calendar years in advance. Individual reservations can be made up to 18 months in advance.

Year round Adelynrood accommodates up to 25 people for groups needing one conference room, 12 people in a smaller conference room or up to four people in the Meditation Room. In the summer (May through September), we can accommodate up to 100 guests for single-day events. We offer 66 single rooms, seven double rooms and three cottages for overnight stays. Adelynrood welcomes women and men, individuals and couples. We offer private rooms for overnight stays from mid-May through mid-September for those who would like to spend unstructured time in a community of prayer and hospitality. Some guests come to walk the grounds or pursue creative interests.

Your lodging reservation or program registration requires a deposit that includes a non-refundable $50 processing fee. If you cancel 21 days or more prior to your arrival, we will refund your deposit less the processing fee. Cancellations less than 21 days before arrival are not refunded. There are no refunds for late arrival, early departure or meals not eaten that are part of a program package.

Absolutely! We welcome guests who want to dine with us. Our highly creative chef uses the freshest available ingredients to create everything from healthy to indulgent, comfort foods to seasonal summer salads and a wide variety of world cuisines. Reservations, made at least four hours in advance, are required. Companions host a nightly social hour before dinner, including a Friend of Bill’s gathering. Visit our Dining page for details.

No. However, if you have special dietary needs, please let us know in advance so our chef has time to plan for them. The Adelynrood chef is known for his eclectic mix ranging from light and health conscious “Spa Cuisine” to traditional American comfort foods. The menu is designed to use fresh seasonal ingredients and always includes fresh fruit and garden salads.

Yes, we provide free Wi-Fi connections.

A DVD player and TV monitor to connect to your laptop are available. If you have specific audio-visual needs for a meeting, please contact our General Manager at 978-462-6721 ext.11.

Each bedroom in the Main House has a twin bed (some have two), a bureau, writing desk and closet. They all have a personal size fan and a doorway curtain so guests can take advantage of breezes and still have privacy. There are no locks on the bedroom doors. To maintain our peaceful atmosphere, rooms are not equipped with telephones, alarm clocks, hair dryers or televisions.

The Common Room and St. Clare are air-conditioned. Two bedrooms in the Main House have window unit air conditioners while the others have a personal fan.

Yes, we provide sheets and bath towels. Adelynrood does not offer daily maid service.

We strive to be as accessible as possible in our 100-year-old building. Adelynrood has accessible bedrooms and two fully-accessible bathrooms. We offer sound assist headphones for individuals to use during programs. Elevators provide access to the three levels of the Main House. St. Clare is accessible by a ramp from the parking lot and an elevator. The Chapel is on the lower level of the grounds and can be reached by golf cart. The Lobby hostess can assist with golf cart transportation.

Pets are allowed on the campus and must be on a leash at all times. One cottage is pet friendly. Service animals are allowed.

Adelynrood is about 45 minutes north of Boston, convenient to Boston’s many attractions. Just minutes from historic Newburyport and the Plum Island beaches and its state and national parks, Adelynrood’s 14-acre campus backs up to The Great Marsh, New England’s largest salt marsh. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) are both about one hour from Adelynrood.

You can rent a car, use a ride-share service (Uber/Lyft) from Boston or take the C & J Bus Line to the Seabrook terminal. From the bus terminal, a taxi or ride-share service will complete your journey to Adelynrood.
