Program

The program will be divided into three parts: Space for Memory, Space for Seeing, and Space for Sharing

The participants will not only learn how to read and understand poetry but will also learn how to write their own poems and comment on the poems written by their fellow participants.

The first two sessions will begin with short lectures on the poems provided prior to the workshop, followed by a prompt or two to take participants to the page to produce their own work. The third session will include time for participants to share the work they’ve produced so that we all can help everyone write the best poetry possible—which is the ultimate goal of any workshop.

Sharon Klander is a member of the SCHC (Texas Chapter) and is passionate about leading poetry and prayer-writing workshops and conferences.
