Adelynrood also has private rooms available mid-May through September for sojourners who would simply appreciate a peaceful overnight respite from their daily responsibilities. If you would like to spend some unstructured time in a community of prayer and hospitality, Adelynrood is here for you. Groups with religious, educational or social concerns are invited to hold their meetings at Adelynrood. Harris We will explore ways in which to bear faithful witness to the Gospel, especially in times of conflict, uncertainty and controversy. Through brief meditations and open conversation, we will look at areas such as how we can revision the church as movement versus institution. Sing Your Song Leader: Joan Cannon Borton MEd Our own song rises from that Holy Source of authenticity.
In this workshop we will creatively engage with our journals as a place to become aware of how our song changes. Through guided exercises, reflection, sharing and silence, participants, beginners or seasoned journal writers, will honor the ways that we have expressed our selves over time.
July 30, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM Songs of the Spirit Leaders: Ruth Ann Dillon, SCHC and Janet O'Flynn, SCHC Seeking the voice of God through song, participants will sing from the diverse choral literature through which we experience the spirit of God in our being. All voices with the desire to “sing with the spirit” are invited & music directors will discover materials useful for liturgical adaptation.
