Directions


Adelynrood is 40 miles north of Boston and 10 miles south of the New Hampshire state line.

From I-95: Take Exit 55, Central Street, Byfield.

At exit 55 turn east onto Central Street, Byfield. (Turn right if coming from the south, or left and cross over the highway if coming from the north) onto a winding country road. Stay on Central Street and cross a small bridge. Central Street becomes School Street which you will follow to the end. Turn left onto Elm Street and travel about 3/4 mile before turning left into Adelynrood.

From US-1: Turn west at The Governor’s Academy sign and yellow flashing light, then proceed beyond the academy approximatly 1/4 mile to the Adelynrood driveway on the right.

From I-495: If you are coming from the northwest there is a shorter way to travel to Adelynrood via Rte 133. Consult a mapping resource for directions.

Ground Transportation from Manchester, New Hampshire, Airport:

From the Boston area take the MBTA Commuter Rail:

  • From Boston’s North Station, take commuter rail to Newburyport Station. 617-222-3200 or 800-392-6100, www.mbta.com. If taking the MBTA Commuter Rail from Boston, call us and we will arrange to pick you up or suggest the best transportation from the train station in Newburyport.
